Mogadishu, Somalia — 31/08/2026 — OPONE and Sahan Insurance Company Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for exploring areas of mutual collaboration and opportunities that can contribute to greater resilience and responsible growth in Somalia.
The MoU brings together two organizations with complementary areas of expertise. OPONE focuses on engagement across Somalia’s Blue Economy, stakeholder connectivity, and the identification and exploration of opportunities within the country’s ocean economy. Through the agreement, OPONE and Sahan Insurance will explore potential areas of cooperation connecting Blue Economy opportunities with risk-management perspectives.
